I walk in. I get my assigned seat in front of Jake, because of our first letter of our last name. We were in the back of the classroom.

Jake arrived later than everyone else and sat in his seat with the egg.

I look back at Jake. I pass a note saying, I can't wait til the Quidditch tryouts..

Jake took the note and read. What's Quiddich? He replied and passed it back.

I wrote back, the game I told you about at the ceremony. Not many first years get accepted, but maybe we can be lucky.

"Now, you must turn this chicken into a cat." Professor assigns partners. Mason and Jake were partners for the whole year.

"Okay, Jake. Any spell suggestions?"

"I was reading a tome on the train....let me try." He pointed his wand and tried to, but casted a floating spell.

I chuckled. "How about this?" I change the chicken into a goose.

He nodded. "I think I got it now." Jake tried again, making the goose into a Siamese cat.

"Finally." I sighed in relief.

Professor McGonagall saw and gave a thumbs up. "You now have to turn a cow into a dog." She gives out little toy cows that turn into a real cow if you press the button on them.

"You wanna try this one?" Jake held the cow toy.

I nod and push the button. Suddenly, my eyes glow green. The cow turns into a dinosaur, then dragon, then horse, then alligator, then cow again. Professor McGonagall stared at me, along with everyone else. "Uh....."

"TWENTY-FIVE POINTS TO GRYFFINDOR! CLASS OVER! NEXT IS DEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS!"

I smile wide at Jake.

Jake's blue and yellow eyes were gleaming. "That was freaking awesome dude!"
